HZA Engineering is a mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm located in Anchorage, Alaska. We serve as both prime consultant and sub-consultant on large and small projects, including commercial, retail, institutional, and government type projects. HZA has over 26 years of experience providing engineering solutions for the challenging arctic and sub-arctic environments of Alaska.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, quality-oriented individual to join our team as an Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate should be a motivated team player.
This position will support our team in providing clients with diverse and technically challenging electrical and telecommunication system design for commercial, institutional, military, and industrial projects throughout Alaska. The successful candidate will work closely with junior level engineers providing training, support and mentorship.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications Include:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
All experience levels are encouraged to apply.
Experience with Microsoft Office software
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks without supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desire to learn and work with a team of professionals
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Alaska.
The desire and motivation to learn the latest technologies and practices to enhance your professional career
Experience with the National Electrical Code
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit Production
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and construction practices
Mechanical and electrical aptitude
Attention to detail, integrity, and personal pride in a job well done
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification
