Kinney Engineering, LLC, is seeking a self-motivated professional civil engineer who can support and strengthen our engineering team. We work in both the public and private sectors and our current areas of expertise include Roadway Design, Transportation Analysis and Planning, Traffic Signal Design, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, GIS, Public Involvement, and Utility Permitting and Design.

The job duties of this team member are varied and could include:
leading the design and development of construction documents
writing reports and studies
resolving project design issues
coordinating with project managers, clients, and staff
ensuring consistency and quality of work
assisting with project management duties such as monitoring schedules and budgets and supporting marketing efforts
Required Qualifications:
State of Alaska Civil Professional Engineer license (or ability to obtain license within six months)
Self-motivated and able to work individually and as part of a team
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel
AutoCAD and general design software skills, including Civil 3D
Ten years minimum experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Alaska resident
Experience with Alaska DOT&PF, Municipalities, Boroughs
Experience with highway and street design, drainage design, traffic engineering, and preparation of PS&E documents
