Main Street Produce, a Santa Maria grower/shipper, is looking for a dedicated, full-time Accounts Payable Specialist.
The ideal candidate will have
A minimum of three years of experience in accounts payable. Agriculture experience a plus.
Be detail oriented, committed, and a team player.
Experience with FAMOUS software is helpful, but is not required.
Able to handle high volumes of invoices.
Bilingual preferred.
Job Responsibilities include
Timely processing of all invoices received.
G/L and Cost Accounting Coding.
Preparation of cash requirements reports.
Preparation of weekly check runs.
Maintaining and reordering check stock and other business forms.
Following up on any incorrect or incomplete purchase orders or invoices.
Responding to vendor requests for information.
Reviewing statements to determine if any invoices are missing or unpaid.
Maintaining the company’s extensive equipment list, ensuring that equipment is registered and insured as appropriate.
Maintaining 1099 information and preparing 1099 year-end returns.
Completing credit applications as needed.
Completion of monthly credit card reconciliations.
Filing.
Help in answering and routing incoming phone calls.
Additional duties as may be assigned by Controller.
