Accounting & Billing Specialist

Responsibilities:

Process all billing and reconciliation of accounts receivable in an accurate and timely manner.

Execute accounting transactions promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Interpret documents from sales, receiving, and shipping departments to facilitate seamless accounting processes.

Utilize General Ledger, AP, and AR knowledge to manage financial transactions effectively.

Handle Payroll Processing on a weekly basis using PAYCHEX.

Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word for various accounting and clerical tasks.

Assist the Controller with budget comparison and reporting to actual figures.

Reconcile and research discrepancies as necessary; identify and resolve exceptions in a proactive manner.

Maintain organized status reports, files, and records accessible online for quick reference.

Work on special projects under direct supervision and handle miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Capable of working with different entities in 2 software programs (Famous and Acknowledge).

Maintain positive communication with Growers/Owners, customers, and peers.

Ability to interact positively and effectively in a team environment and collaborate in cross-functional settings.

Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm in the face of uncertainty.

Experience with AG or other commodities is extremely beneficial.

Qualifications:

Minimum of [X years] of experience as an Accounting and Billing Clerk or in a similar role.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Proficient in using accounting software (Famous and Acknowledge preferred).

Experience with Payroll Processing, specifically using PAYCHEX.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Strong understanding of General Ledger, AP, and AR processes.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with various stakeholders.

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle cross-functional tasks.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.

Familiarity with the agriculture or commodities industry is a significant advantage.

$23.00 to $30.00 hourly
