Hillside Pet Clinic is searching for a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our staff. We are an AAHA accredited, five veterinarian small animal practice. As a Technician Assistant your primary duties involve working alongside our Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians in the Fear Free care and treatment of dogs, cats, avian, reptiles and other exotic patients. The job consists of a large amount of cleaning and housekeeping to ensure a smooth workflow and superior patient care, as well as animal restraint to assist with specimen collection, radiographs, patient preparation for surgery and general patient care.
This position requires a self-motivated, highly organized individual with strong communication skills. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a desire to learn and the ability to work as an integral member of a team in a fast paced environment. Friendliness, eagerness to help and a strong sense of compassion for patient care is crucial for success in this position. Physical requirements may include being able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
We are open M-F, 7:30am-6pm and Saturdays 8am-3pm. We have a full time position available, 5x8 hour days with rotating Saturdays.
