OUA is tasked with attracting and enrolling undergraduate students to UWM’s three campuses. The department oversees recruitment, visits and events, operations (application processing), the CRM (Slate), marketing and communications. The team works to attract undergraduate students from a variety of groups: first time freshmen, first generation college students, transfer students, re-entry students, adult students.Job Summary Assists with the planning, development, coordination, management, and execution of the recruitment and admissions process in alignment with the institution’s strategic goals. Represents the institution to prospective students with a goal of attracting, admitting, and enrolling a talented, diverse student body. Performs a variety of duties involving the review and processing of admissions applications in accordance with University guidelines, policies, and procedures. Oversees major functions of the admissions Operations unit including developing, implementing, monitoring, and assessing application review activities carried out by staff. Supervise professional, student, and limited term staff engaged in application review including, but not limited to, onboarding, ongoing training, workload management, and evaluating performance.Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (granted by date of hire). While the major field is not critical, majors in social work, student personnel, business, guidance, and counseling related fields would provide a strong background for this position.

Experience in a higher education setting

Supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree or an equivalent advanced degree

Experience in a college/university admissions office

Experience working with client relation management systems or other student communication or tracking systems, such as PeopleSoft

Evidence of excellent verbal and written communication skills, as evidenced by written application materials and interviews

Evidence of strong analytical skills

Target Salary Range $53,000 - $58,000
