This position allows the associate to work in all of our classrooms at the CDC, with different age groups and co-teachers, allowing on-the-job experiences to determine your career path. Daycare Support Teacher is a key member of the CDC team, responsible for:
Assisting in the daily care of children ages 6 weeks - 6 years in the Center as outlined on your daily schedule, upholding/implementing curriculum set forth by the Primary Teachers, and following developmentally appropriate practices
Assuming the role of Primary Teacher when covering the classroom for lunch breaks, planning times, paid time off, closing, etc.
Maintaining safety, care, nurturance, and active/appropriate supervision of children in your care
Writing meaningful messages notes in brightwheel™ app relaying information to the parents from the Primary Teacher and/or from the parents to the Primary Teacher as the need arises and charting all diaper changes, feedings, naps, daily activities, etc.
