We are a growing architectural sheet metal company in the Madison, WI area seeking a highly motivated Working Manager/Foreman to join our team. This unique, hands-on leadership role is ideal for a skilled sheet metal professional who enjoys both fieldwork and leadership responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our sheet metal production operations and leading a field crew to execute high-quality installations. This position offers strong advancement potential, with the opportunity to evolve into a full-time Sheet Metal Manager with expanded responsibilities including personnel management and estimating, as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a crew on job sites, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence
Coordinate and manage production activities in the shop and field
Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and ready for each project
Monitor and mentor crew members, ensuring performance and training needs are addressed
Assist in planning and estimating as growth permits
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a sheet metal foreman (architectural focus preferred)
Strong knowledge of architectural sheet metal systems and installation techniques
Proven leadership and crew management abilities
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
