We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic Supply Chain Department in Madison, Mississippi. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization's success by ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for our operations. Key Responsibilities:

Source Selection & RFQs: Understand various procurement commodities, select appropriate sources, create and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQ).

Certification Requests: Request and manage supplier certifications to ensure compliance with company standards.

Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders under $30K, with flexibility based on manager discretion.

Negotiations: Perform negotiations with pre-approval from your manager or senior lead.

Supplier Management: Monitor and track supplier acknowledgements, delivery status, and performance.

Support Senior Buyers: Assist in the creation of 9-tab folders and support senior buyers with various procurement tasks.

Data Accuracy: Track past due purchase orders, update SAP, and ensure data accuracy.

Invoice Troubleshooting: Resolve supplier invoice issues to facilitate timely payments.

Supplier Visits: Participate in supplier visits and assist in developing agendas for program reviews.

Apply today!salary: $25 - $26 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesSources, negotiates and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, packaging materials, parts, services and/or supplies necessary for the operations of an aerospace organization.Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.Monitors performance of suppliers.Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions.Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and market dynamics.Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and ability to meet required schedules.Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends and maintains necessary records.May prepare Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotes (RFQ) and bid packages.Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.The essential functions of this role include:
