Position Title: Machine Operator
Wage: $17/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6am-2pm
This company is a progressive manufacturer of spiral wound paper tubes and precision cores. Don’t miss their opportunity for a Machine Operator in Beloit, WI. This is an associate to hire role.
Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Keep all areas of machine clean and organized
- Read and understand production orders to set-up machines correctly
- Examine completed work pieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws
- Ensure packaging of finished goods per customer specification
- Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct work pieces, using hand tools and measuring devices
- Construct pallets to specs given on the work order; will require the use of an air powered nail gun
- Stack finished product on pallet as directed
- Examine work area at beginning and ending of each shift and during any machine changeover for safety and proper operations
- Safely and efficiently prepare material for shipping; proper identification, tagging and wrapping
- Stack product onto pallets or into boxes
Machine Operator Requirements:
- Stand for the entire shift
- Lift up to 50lbs occasionally
- Bend, squat, reach, push, pull throughout the shift
- Good hand/eye coordination
- Grasp and use hands for the entire shift
- Basic math skills and be able to read a ruler
- Work safely, always being safety conscious
- Reach and understand work orders and verbal instructions
