As the Business Development Manager, you will oversee and manage the sales operations for the company’s food manufacturing division. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies to meet revenue targets, managing key customer relationships, and working with internal departments such as production, marketing, and logistics to ensure product availability and quality.Responsibilities:Including the following, but not limited to:Develop and implement effective sales strategies for food products across various channels (B2B, retail, distribution).Monitor market trends, customer preferences, regulations in food production and competitive activity to refine sales approaches.Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs in line with the company’s goals.Analyze sales data to identify areas of opportunity and implement necessary adjustments.Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.Handle key account management including contract negotiations, pricing, and delivery terms.Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues or concerns that arise.Recruit and onboard new sales team members.Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to meet or exceed sales objectives.Prepare reports on sales performance, market trends, and sales forecasts for senior management.Understand the food manufacturing process to communicate value to customers.Align sales strategies with marketing, promotional efforts, and campaigns.Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food manufacturing industry.Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the company’s products.
