Tipke Manufacturing is a growing manufacturing business and has a career opportunity for a skilled fabricator/welder. We build a variety of components to support other companies manufacturing and have one product line of our own. We are looking for an individual who is quality and safety conscious, self motivated and a team player.
Qualifications:
-Experience with setup, programming and operation of robotic welding equipment. We have a Miller PA350S welding cell currently.
-Strong TIG and MIG skills in a variety of materials, mostly stainless, aluminum and mild steel.
-Good understanding of drawings and weld layout. Must be proficient with tape measure, calipers height gage. Jig design and building experience would be very helpful.
-Experience with general fabrication tools and ability/willingness to operate fabrication equipment as needed.
-Good communication and problem solving skills. We do a bit of custom and prototype work along with production so ability to work through new projects is very important.
Most parts are smaller/medium size and made of lighter gauge materials .188" or thinner. We fabricate a lot of tubular weldments such as exhaust, etc. It is production work and can be repetitive at times but we do produce a wide variety of parts built on a cyclical basis. We keep a clean shop that is climate controlled at 75 in summer and 65 in winter.
Work hours are M-Th 6am-430pm. Overtime is available mostly on a voluntary basis but can be required at times and occurs on Fridays. Health/dental benefits (fully paid for employee) and paid vacation available after 60 day probationary period. We also offer 401k and profit sharing after one year.
