The Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring that all hotel facilities and equipment are maintained in excellent condition to provide a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for guests. This role involves performing routine maintenance, responding to repair requests, and addressing any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

Routine Maintenance:

Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.

Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as changing filters, lubricating machinery, and checking for wear and tear.

Repairs:

Address and repair any issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and other hotel infrastructure.

Fix or replace broken furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, such as leaks, power outages, and other urgent issues.

Assist in managing emergency situations to ensure guest safety and minimize property damage.

Guest Requests:

Address maintenance requests from guests in a timely and professional manner.

Ensure minimal disruption to guests during repair and maintenance activities.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Adhere to all hotel policies and local regulations regarding maintenance and safety.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inventory of supplies.

Complete work orders and reports as required.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other hotel staff, including housekeeping and front desk, to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members about ongoing issues and maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training preferred.

Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.

Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general maintenance procedures.

Ability to operate and troubleshoot various hand and power tools.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions.

Working Conditions:

May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Exposure to various working conditions, including indoor and outdoor environments, and potential hazards related to maintenance tasks.

Ability to handle and dispose of hazardous materials according to safety regulations.
