Attention Cake Designers and Artists!
Happy Cake Company is seeking another cake decorator to join our production team as well as a bakery staff member who supports the decorators by baking, prepping, and many functions necessary for operations. Both positions are part time. Happy Cake Company specializes in creating custom cakes using the techniques like those seen on Cake Wars, Cake Boss, Sugar Rush, Cupcake Wars etc Except this it is not just on T.V. but real life. We design custom cakes every day in our studio! Our techniques include tiered cakes, sculpting, gumpaste, fondant, buttercreme design, melt chocolate molds and more.
Decorator candidates must have prior professional decorating experience.
Bakery Staff Member candidates must have experience working in commercial kitchens.
Cake Decorator and Bakery Staff Member Requirements:
Experience with bakery production.
Previous Professional Baking Experience or Patisserie School
Familiar with baking techniques.
Ability to ice clean and smooth cakes with buttercreme
Ability to roll fondant for cake covering and designing decor
Positive attitude and able to work closely with team
Customer Service experience
Ability to work in a fast paced commercial production studio
Flexible schedule to work flexible hours (standard for a baking position)
Current WA state food handler's permit
Able to lift over 50 pounds
18+ years of age
