Houseworks Construction Company has been doing residential remodels in the greater Seattle area for over 30 years. Many of our craftsman and subcontractors have been with us from decades and many of our customers come back for further projects. We are currently hiring a lead carpenter for high-end residential remodeling.
Qualifications
-Minimum 2 years managing residential remodeling/high-end new construction projects
-Knowledge of common construction practices and ability to execute tasks or instruct others
-Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
-Professional; good interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
-Ability to work independently as well as manage crews of up to 4 other carpenters
-Project management skills: ability to communicate with subs, architects and clients and articulate ideas; ability to interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
-Integrity and value placed on relationships is at the core of our company’s values
-Knowledge of building processes and ability to perform tasks integral to construction projects such as site preparation, demolition, excavation, mixing/pouring concrete, framing, interior and exterior trim, setting windows and doors, drywall patching/preparation, fireproofing, setting cabinets and managing subcontractors
-Possess tools required to perform construction tasks: cordless drill/impact driver, circular saw, reciprocating saw, compressor, finish nailers, chop saw, table saw. We can offer the use of many company tools, but the ability to perform tasks efficiently will require several of these tools listed frequently.
-Direct communication with office staff, subs, architects, engineers, clients, suppliers, and building department/municipal entities
-Ability to estimate and order materials and assess needs for labor help
-Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week 8am-5pm (No weekend work)
-Home to worksite with project locations that vary in Seattle, Bellevue, and surrounding areas. Must be comfortable commuting to Northgate, Totem Lake, Issaquah, and West Seattle.
