Meyer Sign Company of Oregon and Meyer Architectural Signs and Graphics is a full-service sign company providing customized electrical signage for businesses around the WA/OR/CA area as well as on a national level. We sell, design, fabricate and install all types of signage – primarily electrical and ADA signage.

Note: Out of state applicants, in order to obtain an Oregon Journeyman License, will need to provide a notarized accounting of at least 8,000 hours of previous electrical signage work experience. This will allow you to sit for the Oregon exam and obtain the required State License to become a Journeyman.

Our team is expanding and looking to add talent to the mix. Currently, we are seeking to hire a “Journeyman Sign Installer” (Full Time).

Job Description:

The primary function is to install illuminated electrical signage. This can range from monument signs, channel letters, and pylon signs, which are typical, all the way to high-rise freeway signage and architectural signage. The core of the position typically handles these tasks, but are not limited by them:

Operate a crane/bucket truck, some of which require a CDL, Class B license (Manual Transmission)

Use of tools to install signage, including drills, hammer drills, saws, grinders, augers, Bobcat, torches, and other various tools as required per job.

Wiring of signage to electrical primary wires and connection of component signage parts

Rigging and picking of signage with crane

Servicing of electrical signage, including neon and LED illumination methods

Shop tasks, such as installation preparation and wiring/finishing of signs prior to installation

Surveying of sites to relay custom fabrication notes, field observations and pictures to both fabricators and office staff

Other tasks as assigned by management

Candidates who have been successful in the past have been able to think on their feet in vague situations, have high standards for their craftsmanship, and a commitment to completing work thoroughly the first time.

Pay ranges depending on experience. Meyer is offering $34-$40 per hour for this role, depending on experience and licensing.
