Interior Repair Lead for Construction Company

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Pacific Building Envelope is seeking a self-motivated professional to help a Puget Sound exterior renovation contractor with their interior repair needs. The ideal candidate would be a lead person that can perform tasks solely or lead a small team of 3-4 persons performing small carpentry repairs, installation of window and door trims, install drywall patches, taping, finishing, interior and exterior painting, waterproofing, caulking. Background check will be performed as you will be working around occupied communities. May work under a Superintendent on larger projects or lead a small crew on smaller projects.

ABOUT COMPANY:

Pacific Building Envelope is an industry leading exterior renovator, working primarily on occupied condominiums and apartment buildings in the Pacific Northwest and has a great reputation. We are based in Mill Creek, WA and have projects from Burien to Bellingham with over a year of backlog. We are looking for an individual who can make small interior repairs as well as perform exterior waterproofing, flashing, or carpentry work when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drywall patching and taping of walls and soffits.

Ability to climb a ladder, work from scaffolding, carry 50 lbs.

Exterior & Exterior painting with brush and at times with a spray gun.

Replacement of interior wood, gypsum or tile window liners and sills.

Protection of unit interiors for repair work including window and door replacement.

Installation of deck waterproof flashings, deck coatings.

Replacement of various wall finishes.

Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.

Computer skills such as outlook, Sharepoint, Excel or Word needed at times. Coding of receipts, ordering of supplies, receiving and replying to emails on company owned laptop.

Professional communication with other team members, customers and architectural firms.

Teamwork with other jobsite employees and subcontractors.

Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.

Must be able to multi-task and have excellent attention to detail.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

5 years of drywall patching, taping, texturing previous experience.

5 years of interior/exterior painting including spray experience.

3 years of general carpentry experience.

Waterproof coating experience.

3 years of interior trim replacement experience a must. Doors replacement experience a plus.

Past experience leading a crew of 2-3 preferred.

Though understanding of construction techniques and products including their application.

Clean driving record.

Fluent in English, Bi-Lingual in English & Spanish a plus

Non-Smoker

Reach Forklift certified, CPR certified, OSHA 10

Aerial lift certified a plus

COMPENSATION:

$38/hr. to $45/hr. depending on abilities and experience, plus company van with fuel card, medical insurance after 60 days, paid time off, & 401K with company match.
