Tasks Technical Services Department performs
Controls
Warranty repair
Refrigerant piping
Start and Test of equipment
Commissioning
Controls
Work with current control contractors (sunbelt, ATS, JB) identify pecking order of what contractors work
well with our company and customers.
VRF manufacture controls (VPN to remote monitor, floor plans, user interphase)
Wireless thermostats for simple operation
Keeping up with new technology from suppliers
Warranty repair
Identify reasons for and track warranty calls (equipment, customer, company)
Reduce warranty call backs
Keep installers and tech service honest as to human error in field
Refrigerant piping
Disseminate latest information and products to piping crews (1” insulation, shark bites)
Follow piping procedures best practices
Follow all safety procedures
Start and Test of equipment and Air Balance
Review start and test paperwork to ensure accurate information
Schedule and track 3rd party start ups
Schedule and track 3rd party air balance
Communicate warranty date with service and sales
Review air balance reports for accuracy
Commissioning & Quality Control
Develop commissioning plan with engineering
Work with 3rd party commissioning agents
Ensure all commissioning paperwork is filled out and submitted on time and accurately
