Overview:
We are seeking a versatile and dependable Household Assistant to help manage home upkeep, errands, and day-to-day tasks. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and can keep things running smoothly without constant supervision.
Responsibilities:
Home upkeep: Light cleaning, tidying, organizing, and basic maintenance
Grounds upkeep: Power washing, painting, simple repairs, pond maintenance
Errands & shopping: Grocery runs, returns, post office, picking up supplies (household vehicle provided)
Driving: Transport family members to appointments or work as needed
Vendor coordination: Meet and oversee service providers (plumbers, electricians, deliveries)
Vehicle care: Washing, vacuuming, scheduling and taking in for service
Organization: Keeping a household calendar for maintenance and supply needs
Projects: Occasional seasonal setup, light assembly, or decluttering tasks
What Success Looks Like:
The home feels organized, tidy, and well-maintained without requiring constant reminders
Errands are handled efficiently, with items stocked and ready before they’re urgently needed
Service appointments run smoothly, with vendors supervised and work completed as expected
Family schedules are supported, with rides and pickups handled reliably and on time
Weekly updates keep the household informed of completed work and upcoming needs
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Comfortable driving a pickup truck (household vehicle provided)
Ability to work independently and manage varied tasks
Basic handyman skills for simple repairs and maintenance
Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of privacy
Organized and detail-oriented
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
