Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team. As a Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our projects run smoothly and efficiently. You will support our production team, coordinate logistics, and help maintain high standards of quality and safety. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination: Assist in reviewing and ordering roofing materials, ensuring all necessary materials and resources are available and delivered on time.
Quality Control: Monitor ongoing projects to ensure they meet our quality standards and client specifications. Report any issues or discrepancies to the Production Manager.
Logistics Management: Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials, equipment, and tools needed for each project. Maintain an organized inventory and manage stock levels.
Team Support: Provide administrative and logistical support to the production team, including preparing project documentation, maintaining records, and assisting with timekeeping.
Communication: Serve as a liaison between the production team, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Ensure clear and effective communication to facilitate project progress and address any concerns.
Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, verify work quality, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Document findings and provide reports to the Production Manager.
Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues and work collaboratively with the production team to develop solutions and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in construction management or a related field is a plus.
Applicants with production assistance experience will be moved up the list.
Previous experience in a construction or production support role is preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
