Express Employment Professionals in Everett is hiring an Aluminum Welder / Fabricator for an industrial company in Monroe. This is a fulltime, long-term position that could be permanent for the right candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity to get your foot in the door with a manufacturing plant specializing in the production of industrial equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of MIG aluminum welding to fabricate components and assemblies.
Starting pay is $25-$30 per hour (depending on experience). You will work 40 hours a week with the option of two difference day shift schedules:
Monday - Thursday 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
-OR-
Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities include:
Execute MIG welds on aluminum and mild steel; thicknesses ranging from .080 to .750.
Perform welding jobs by following job order specifications, blueprints, and work instructions.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
Ensure equipment remains operational through preventive maintenance.
Make adjustments to the welding machine for different materials and thickness.
Read and interpret shop drawings to determine tooling requirements and setup procedures.
Trace patterns and perform layout mathematics.
Utilize various hand tools, power tools, drills, tape measure, level, and scissor lifts.
Run all aspects of the shop and provide flexible and quick-turn service.
Plan stock inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed stock, and verifying receipt of stock.
Qualifications:
Aluminum welding experience.
Minimum two (2) years of welding experience.
Strong math and geometry mindset; ability to read a tape measure and visualize 3-dimensional patterns.
Knowledge of common tooling.
Detail-oriented with precise cutting skills.
High school diploma/GED.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds (team lifts for 100 pounds)
Stand for long periods of time.
Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, grasp, and reach overhead or outward repeatedly.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles.
