A Beginning Alliance is looking for full-time, part-time and on-call Contract Correctional Officers. This position will be responsible for the custodial supervision of 26 adult offenders at a 24/7 day per week facility. Duties will include surveillance, counts, medication control, monitoring visitors, imposing appropriate sanctions for negative behavior, and may need to assist in food preparation. This person will also record all messages, facilitate treatment plans for residents, and attend monthly staff meetings. Must be familiar with facility policies and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Corrections, Military, or other Custodial Experience preferred
Must be able to follow facility policies and procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work in a team environment
Ability to handle confidential matters professionally and with discretion
Criminal background check
Finger printing
High school diploma or GED
Must have a current valid Washington State Driver’s License or ID
Must be willing to obtain first aid and CPR certification as well as a food handler’s card
