Title: Overnight Security Patrol Officer

Location: Seattle, WA

Schedule: Full-Time.

You are required to work one weekend shift per week either a Saturday or Sunday.

Pay Rate: Starting at $24/hr with incentive pay.

Requirements:

- Security Guard Card, License course also available.

- DRIVERS MUST BE 21 years of age and have an excellent driving record.

Position Summary:

A Signal Patrol Officer will conduct patrols, (foot and vehicle) for courtyards, offices, pools, and other high value areas to ensure all required access points are properly secured and to ensure protection of property and residents with a high degree of attentiveness to details and safety. All duties listed below are minimum requirements – additional duties listed in the site’s Post Orders are requirements as well.

- Communication: Effective communication skills are important for conveying information to colleagues, supervisors, and customers. This includes clear verbal communication and proficient written reporting.

- Customer Service: Patrol officers interact with employees, residents, or visitors regularly. Excellent customer service skills help create a positive and safe environment that instills peace of mind in clients and customers.

- Observation: Patrol officers need to possess excellent observation skills to detect suspicious activity, potential security threats, or safety hazards. Attention to detail is key to excelling within this role.

- Risk Assessment: Patrol officers must assess risks and make informed decisions to protect our customers and property effectively to the standards of the site and company.

- Conflict Resolution: Patrol officers should have the skills to handle conflicts peacefully and professionally, de-escalating situations and preventing violence or disruption.

- Time Management: Prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently is important to ensure that patrols and security protocols are followed consistently.

- Problem-Solving: Patrol officers often encounter complex situations that require them to think critically and find effective solutions that maintain a safe and secure environment.

- Stress Management: Patrol officers can face high-stress situations. Managing stress and remaining calm under pressure is crucial for effective decision-making.

- Professionalism: Maintaining a professional demeanor, appearance, and conduct is essential for representing Signal of Western Washington in a positive and welcoming manner.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct and deliver various mobile security services, while operating the company’s patrol vehicle in a manner that reflects the company’s values and expectations.

- Write detailed and accurate reports utilizing company technology and web or app-based software during each shift that aligns with site instructions/post orders.

- Ability to consistently arrive on time for shifts, clock in and out, meet time commitments, follow instructions, follow dress code and appearance standards.

- Interacting with internal and external customers on site cultivating a positive customer service relationship striving to provide peace of mind.

- Consistently communicates with the Advanced Patrol Officer and/or the Branch Patrol Supervisor to promptly report any customer or property related information and concerns.

- Each officer is assigned a vehicle that the officer is responsible for during their shift to include fueling, washing, interior cleanliness, and inspecting.

- Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards, uniforms, and devices, etc.

- Manage daily activities while meeting key benchmarks and expectations set by the Branch Patrol Supervisor such as reporting standards and service quality.

- Consistently deescalate issues through communication in a professional and prompt manner.

- Communicate with the Branch Patrol Supervisor to receive and disseminate information through Branch Supervisor Daily Scrum, such as the client needs, route changes, and post order updates to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.

Requirements:

- 21 years of age or older.

- High school diploma or GED.

- Pass background check and drug test.

- Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.

- Must have reliable transportation.

- Complete training modules within first month.

- Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills.

- Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.

- Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
