Krentz String Works is seeking a resourceful, independent, personable Operations Manager / manufacturer to manage our Seattle-based string instrument and accessory design company. Candidates should be comfortable serving as the primary point of contact for domestic and international customers, including over the phone and via email. Training on the job will include fluency in Google Workspace, the ability to navigate WordPress, WooCommerce, Stripe, and Stamps.com. However, a basic familiarity with computers and websites is all that is initially required. There is also a significant hands-on element to this position, involving assembly of all products and periodic use of stationary power tools. It is possible that this component could be made into a separate position, but priority will go to candidates that want to do both. Priority will also be given to candidates who live fairly close to Pinehurst.

Hours are almost infinitely flexible, but must be consistently at least every other business day on average to ensure that products are shipped regularly. The current manager comes in three days per week, whenever her schedule suits her. For motivated and ambitious persons, the job could certainly grow if the manager has certain talents in line with the company's goals. The Operations Manager is primarily independent on a day to day basis with only one general weekly meeting with the Owners who are generally on site.

Responsibilities include:

Order fulfillment and shipping, customer service, purchasing, and inventory

Maintenance of frontend website and backend eCommerce platform and managment of outside suppliers in this area

Precision assembly of Krentz modulators and Krentz cello endpins

Timely, accurate submission of quarterly WA Department of Revenue filings. (We will train.)

A vehicle is essential for this role, as the Director of Operations is responsible for delivering orders to USPS and/or UPS.

Keeping the workshop and office areas tidy.

Qualified applicants will have at least a Bachelors degree.

$40/hr for Operations Manager time. - $30 for parts assembly time. This will rise to $45 and $33 after 6 months and both will rise $5 per hour every year.

Before emailing your interest, please take the personality test at www:16personalities.com and take a screen shot of the result so we can know a little more about you. We find this to be incredibly helpful to find a good fit for the position. The position would start by April 12 at the latest.
