Buchanan General Contracting is seeking an individual currently looking to expand their career to a project manager position that will give them more responsibility, professional growth and ownership of projects. This new hire will immediately take on full project management of upcoming projects ranging from $100,000 to $2,500,000 with our established affordable housing customers.

We are a tight knit supportive group. Our company focuses on renovation and new build work for providers of affordable housing and human services. Our projects range from $10,000 to $15,000,000. BGCC has been in business for over 40 years and is growing due to the demand from our clients. We are looking for a forward-thinking, personable, structured individual that takes initiative.

Candidate will need to be able to adapt to our working processes, speak up with questions, and be a team player. Communication is a key factor in the success of our company.

Project Manager’s responsibility will include:

As PM you will be responsible for writing and tracking all your RFI’s, COP’s, Submittals and Subcontracts through web-based construction management software

Lead weekly OAC meetings including meeting minutes and agenda generation

Work one on one with the Superintendents

Understanding the permitting process is a plus

Manage the overall project direction, completion and financial outcome

Administer both the owner and subcontractor relationships for an assigned project

Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from conception to completion

Prepare budget and cost estimates, along with work timetables

Responsible for any delays, emergencies and problems that can arise

Skilled at a variety of pre-construction work, such as planning, design and constructability review, value engineering, CPM scheduling, and conceptual estimating

Ability to successfully estimate or validate and negotiate change order

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree; Construction Management degree desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay:

From $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday

We work 3 days a week in the office and 2 days from home or the field.
