OVERVIEW

A Supportive Community For All is a new and growing nonprofit organization providing backbone support for people and organizations working together to build a Snoqualmie Valley where all people can thrive. We center communities most impacted by inequities in the co-creation and implementation of strategies intended to address inequities in health, housing, financial opportunity, and community connection. We draw on collective impact and community power building frameworks. We practice equity leaderships skills in all areas of our work, acknowledging that the journey to a more equitable community is one that creates space to learn, make mistakes, repair, heal, and grow together.

The Partnerships and Engagement Manager will report directly to the Executive Director and will be responsible for building and sustaining partnerships with A Supportive Community For All stakeholders, while designing, implementing, and supporting outreach and engagement activities in support of A Supportive Community For All’s programs and initiatives. This will include, but not be limited to, planning and facilitating meetings, measuring effectiveness of engagement strategies, conducting outreach and engagement activities for community members and key organizational partners. Current initiatives include (1) supporting the Snoqualmie Valley Human Services Coalition with all aspects of their work, specifically the Snoqualmie Valley Referral and Navigation Program, and (2) fiscal sponsorship and capacity building support for Snovalley Pride. Upcoming initiatives this position may support include a microbusiness incubator feasibility study and facilitation of a community planning process culminating in Creative District certification for the City of Carnation.

Major responsibilities include:

Project management, including the development of work plans

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

Manage the outreach and engagement components of projects and initiatives within A Supportive Community For All.

Develop and implement work-plans while monitoring, tracking and reporting progress related to assigned projects and initiatives.

Monitor A Supportive Community For All contracts including, but not limited to: Maintaining communication with contracted organizations; co-creating goals and accountability measures; completing annual site visits; providing technical assistance to contracted partners; ensuring that contract requirements are met in a timely fashion; receiving and reviewing invoices; and, other contract monitoring responsibilities as assigned.

Participate in budgeting process in collaboration with the Executive Director, governing bodies, and work groups.

Monitor project-related expenses and revenues against plans and projections, proposing adjustments and modifications as needed.

Outreach and Engagement

Develop specific strategies to engage a variety of stakeholders in the planning, implementation and evaluation of A Supportive Community For All initiatives. Given our current portfolio of work, such audiences will include, but not be limited to: community members most impacted by inequities; local human service providers, behavioral health and medical providers; community-based organizations; small business owners (including creatives), and government and philanthropic entities.

Coordinate and align culturally relevant and appropriate outreach and engagement strategies across the organization.

Recommend strategies to address impact areas (health, housing, financial opportunity, community connection) that are developed through outreach and engagement to A Supportive Community For All staff and governing bodies.

Monitor, track, and report how information gathered through outreach and engagement activities are being included within A Supportive Community For All’s work.

Communicate results of outreach and engagement activities to engagement participants.

Partnership/Relationship Management

Recruit, retain, and develop relationships with members of A Supportive Community For All’s cross-sector collaborative to include, but not be limited to: community most impacted by inequities, human service providers, medical and behavioral health care providers, community-based organizations, small business owners (including creatives), and government and philanthropic entities.

Communicate with partnering people and organizations and measure partnership engagement in organization-wide A Supportive Community For All programs and initiatives.

Meeting Planning and Facilitation

Convene and facilitate internal and external meetings with relevant or prospective people and organizations engaging with A Supportive Community For All to develop and implement strategies in support of A Supportive Community For All’s mission, vision, projects, and initiatives.

Develop agendas, meeting materials, coordinate speakers, maintain notes, and follow-up on action items resulting from meetings.

Communicate information gathered from assigned workgroups and committees to A Supportive Community For All staff and governing bodies (where appropriate).

Technical Assistance/Subject Matter Expertise

Research, communicate, and implement best practices related to culturally appropriate and inclusive outreach and engagement strategies and approaches.

Ensure that A Supportive Community For All is using an equity lens within its planning, design, implementation and evaluation of programs and initiatives.

Ensure alignment with A Supportive Community For All initiatives, investments, and values.

Support writing and management of funding proposals and/or contracts, as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

Combination of life experience and/or education demonstrating three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in effectively conducting outreach and engagement for organizations serving as collective impact backbone entities and/or organizations seeking to incorporate the unique perspectives of historically marginalized and underserved community members in transformation efforts.

Connection with and demonstrated ability to respect, understand, and authentically engage with community members with diverse and unique backgrounds who are currently experiencing inequities in health, housing, financial opportunity, and community connections in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and community relations skills including, but not limited to, facilitation skills, ability to collaborate across community, healthcare, social service, and other sectors, as well as ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for a variety of audiences.

Comfortable with adjusting to change and creating new systems in an uncertain environment.

Aptitude for solving problems with creativity, resourcefulness, and initiative.

Experience with implementing new programs and initiatives.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.

Intermediate knowledge and proficiency using Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs to analyze information, develop materials, monitor and communicate progress.

Ability to support others with varying computer skill levels.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is typically conducted in an office environment.

Frequent driving in the Snoqualmie Valley and occasionally the greater Seattle area.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Current proof of insurance on personal vehicle at each renewal date.

Available to attend meetings, functions, and events after normal business hours on occasion.

COMPENSATION

This is a full-time, salaried contract position. Salary range is $65,000 annually. Benefits include 100% of employee premiums for health insurance coverage, life insurance, generous paid leave policies (vacation, sick, personal, and bereavement leave), 12 paid holidays (plus 2 floating holidays), and a SIMPLE IRA with 3% match.
