Housing Program Administrative Support Specialist

The Housing Program Support Specialist will be a temporary part time administrative support position for the housing program. This position is expected to last between 2-4 months maximum. Full training on all responsibilities will be provided. This position will serve as a key support for all members of the Care Coordination/Housing Team in completing daily tasks and regular ongoing work.

Looking to fill 1 part-time position at 25 hours per week from Feb. 16, 2024 – June 30, 2024.

JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Coordinate rental vouchers, review case load tracker, generate vouchers, submit vouchers, and verify vouchers from other Grants Coordinators.

2. Generate motel vouchers and stays accordingly. Including calling motels, getting pricing, emailing reservations, etc.

3. Ensure Landlord information is entered into EmpowOR. May assist with other data entry as necessary.

4. Maintain and update affordable housing list, rental database, and landlord contacts.

5. Inspect properties to ensure that they are safe, in good repair and meet criteria for specific housing subsidies. Obtain HSQ certifications as needed.

6. Administrative support as necessary

7. Participate in agency meetings and trainings as required.

8. Other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or GED/HSE minimum required. AA Degree in Social Services or related field preferred.

Preference given to those with experience working with the general public, providing administrative support services, and/or non-profit experience.

Or a combination of education and experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work.

License(s) & Certification(s)

Must have valid driver license and auto liability insurance if personal vehicle is used for work-related travel.

Skills and Abilities

Must be dependable, reliable, and possess a strong ability to adapt to any situation.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Ability to work independently, and as a team member; self-motivated.

Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to learn and use agency databases, such as, EmpowOr

Must have strong customer services skills.

Must have excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook programs.

Must have strong and effective communication skills (oral and written).

Working knowledge of standard office procedures and technologies (phone, computer, printer, photocopier, scanner, fax machine) is needed.

Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with people from varied cultural, socioeconomic, educational and experiential backgrounds.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Wage between $21.07 - $23.26 per hour (DOE)
