VERDANT’S WORK

Public Hospital District #2, Snohomish County, founded the Verdant Health Commission in 2012 to better serve the healthcare needs of the residents in South Snohomish County. Revenue from leased properties provides funding for collaborative grantmaking to nonprofits in the community that deliver essential services aligning with Verdant’s strategic priorities. A five-member board of commissioners governs the strategic direction, oversees operations and awards funding for the Verdant Health Commission.

JOB SUMMARY

Verdant is located in Lynnwood, Washington. We operate primarily as an in-person office. Employees have the option to work remotely one day a week, subject to approval and coordination with their supervisor.

Reporting to and closely collaborating with the Director of Community Impact, the Grants and Contracts Manager tracks and assesses the progress of funded organizations, leads the grant payment and reporting oversight, and conducts research to measure the impact of community investments made by Verdant. Verdant annually approves approximately 60 grants totaling more than $8 million.

The Grants and Contracts Manager supports Verdant Health Commission’s strategic priorities of community investment. Knowledge and experience with grants management systems, data tracking, and reporting are critical. The Grants and Contracts Manager serves as a subject matter expert in Verdant’s grant management system and ensures the accuracy of data entry, reporting by grantees, and compliance with state and federal guidelines in contracting procedures. This position also exports data for use in Verdant media and marketing efforts and provides monthly reports to the Verdant Board of Commissioners.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary Range: $69,628 - $99,445 (Hiring Range Depending on Experience)
