Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements for precision-machined parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
Properly package and prepare outgoing orders to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Generate and maintain shipping documents, packing slips, and labels.
Maintain inventory accuracy by logging received and shipped items in the system.
Coordinate with production and quality departments to ensure orders are complete before shipment.
Track shipments and resolve any shipping issues with carriers.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping/receiving area.
Qualifications:
Previous shipping & receiving experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ProShop Software Experience is a plus).
Ability to read and understand purchase orders, packing lists, and shipping instructions.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
