Do you want to help get humans to space? Aerojet Rocketdyne is looking for talented CNC lathe and deburr machinists to join our team in Redmond. Day and night positions open for lathe, day shift only for deburr. Our night shift incentive is a 6% per hour differential! This is actually rocket science so only top candidates should apply. This position typically works 4 10-hour days (Monday- Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm) but candidates must be willing and available to work other shifts or overtime as needed to meet delivery schedules.
Essential Functions:
Under direction of the Machine Shop Supervisor, Lead or designee, the Machinist will perform machining/deburring of close tolerance aerospace hardware.
Duties include:
Reading and understanding GD&T, engineering drawings and blueprints including true positioning and conventional tolerancing.
Reading and following production planning.
Running jobs close to tolerances of +/- .0001".
Maintaining a rejection rate of less than 2%.
Using precision measuring instruments to check work.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred and 6+ years of related experience in close tolerance CNC machining experience. Knowledge of machining materials such as aluminum, tool, alloy, carbon steels, stainless steel, titanium, plastics and Inconel is preferred. Must understand and be able to use trigonometry. Requires the willingness and ability to work overtime as necessary.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $28.13/hr MIN - $52.16/hr MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
