We are looking for a Materials Test Lab Technician!
Pay Range: $21.50 hr. - $28 hr.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Assembles test coupons and prepares samples using appropriate machines, tools, and instruments
Reads precision measuring tools and instruments
Uses chemicals, adhesives, and solvents as required
Operates test instrumentation – load frame, thermal instrumentation, physical test methods
Records data and performs basic data analysis
Reads and understands blueprints and drawings
Reads and understands test method specifications
Assists with basic facility maintenance and clean-up
Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education: High School diploma;
Preferred Education: AA or BA/BS from engineering or automotive program
Required Experience: Experience with basic hand and power tools
Required: Computer proficiency and familiarity with common office applications (Word, Excel required)
Preferred: Experience in aerospace and defense advanced composites manufacturing environments
Demonstrates passion for the aerospace and defense industry, and strong desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic
Physical requirements of this position include moderate physical and repetitious work, standing for extended periods of time, the use of stairs and occasional heavy lifting
Must be a U.S. Citizen
