Are you a visionary marketing leader with a passion for driving impact? SPIE, an international not-for-profit organization, seeks an experienced Director of Marketing to lead our dynamic team. As the Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our brand, serving our community, and advancing light-based technologies worldwide.

Full-time, 40 hours per week position available, with flexible work hours.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a high-impact marketing and communications program aligned with SPIE’s goals. Lead multi-channel product marketing, media relations, and brand identity management.

Creative Vision: Work closely with your team to produce compelling materials. Your creativity will elevate our brand.

Team Empowerment: Mentor and develop marketing professionals. Your leadership will drive success.

Product Growth: Shape our promotion strategy and corporate brand awareness.

Qualifications:

Self-Motivated: As a curious and disciplined individual, you’ll thrive in our fast-paced environment.

High Achiever: Motivated by results, you’ll manage a high volume of tasks independently.

Marketing Expertise: With 10+ years of leadership experience, you’ll excel in strategic marketing and communications.

Supervisory Experience: 5+ years of supervisory experience of Marketing resources.

Global Perspective: International and private sector exposure is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive Salary: Pay range $141,800 to $198,500.

Health and Wellness: Medical, dental & vision benefits provided (100% employer paid premium for the employee, 75% employer paid premium for the dependents).

Retirement: Defined retirement contribution: SPIE provides an automatic 5% contribution PLUS SPIE offers UP to 5% matching contributions and 25% vesting each year, 100% vested after 4 years.

Location:

Physical work location in Bellingham, WA. Occasional remote work may be available for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. SPIE will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
