We are a lodging management company located in Seattle Washington and looking for an attorney to assist in general matters with an emphasis on management contract enforcement. We are growing and on our way to becoming bigger because we have strong staff members, proven practices and proprietary software and other technology.
This is an opportunity for a strategic and energetic attorney to be part of our business as we grow and expand rapidly. we want to fill the position right now.
You must be licensed in Washington State, preferably located in Seattle, or within easy driving distance to our office on Seattle's Capitol Hill. We apologize but please do not apply if you live outside the Settle metropolitan area as that would not work.
The job can be full-time or part-time. If you prefer part-time, that can be 20-30 hours per week, with 2-3 days in office. If full-time, then all work is in the office. and your contribution will help our inevitable growth.
The attorney need NOT have extensive experience in all topics because many subjects will be infrequent but must have the ability to review, research, study and make recommendations as to how to proceed on matters. We might even consider recent law school grad.
The work includes general consultation with company principals, review and drafting of business contracts and forms, policies, entity formation in various locations, guest collections and disputes, property owner relations and negotiation, labor law.
Because we are in a professional service industries, dispute resolution and litigation (hopefully minor) are an unavoidable situation on occasion. You will evaluate legal exposure and risk, and recommend the steps necessary to settle or pursue matters. usually matters are of small, such as collection of small amounts. Should litigation arise you would handle matters personally, unless they required special expertise.
The work may include intellectual property attorney and occasionally with property owner client's attorneys related to guest matters.
If you prefer part-time work, you would be free to use that office for other clients as you see fit. We do have all office equipment and services and a private conference room.
We are located in the trendy Pike-Pine area on Seattle's Capitol hill in an art-loft type building. Ours is an informal work place, but we do have a private conference room that you could use and all business services such as phones, copier/fax, high speed Internet, and some secretarial help.
