Shift: 1st and 2nd

Key Responsibilities:

-Expert Fish Cutting & Preparation: Skillfully cut, trim, clean, fillet, slice, and section a wide variety of fish species according to specific customer requirements and company standards, ensuring precision and high-quality presentation.

-Maximize Product Yield: Efficiently utilize each product to its fullest potential, reducing waste and trimming loss while optimizing profitability and inventory control.

-Quality Control & Freshness Rotation: Conduct daily inspection and rotation of inventory to ensure product freshness and compliance with shelf-life guidelines. Remove and report any expired or spoiled product.

-Food Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all food safety regulations, including HACCP standards, sanitation procedures, and company health protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

-Workstation Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, tools, and equipment throughout the shift. Participate in end-of-day sanitation procedures.

-Customer Service Support: Communicate with front-of-house teams or directly with customers (as applicable) to clarify cutting specifications, special orders, or handling instructions.

-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, especially during peak business hours.

Requirements:

-Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on fish cutting experience in a high-volume retail, wholesale, or foodservice environment. Proficiency in handling various species and mastering multiple cutting techniques (e.g., filleting, portioning, skinning, deboning).

-Physical Capability: Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods and working in cold, wet environments (typical of refrigerated processing areas).

-Work Ethic & Reliability: Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

-Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, receive instructions, and provide feedback clearly and respectfully.

-Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime based on operational needs.
