About Us:
One Heart Wild is a trauma-informed behavioral health agency offering a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Animal-Assisted Therapy, Telemental Health, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and nature-based interventions. We are committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care to individuals and families.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Washington-licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our dynamic clinical team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with trauma, ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Depression, and suicidality in youth ages six and up. This position offers flexibility to practice in diverse therapeutic environments, including a counseling cottage with access to nature-based mindfulness, walking therapy, and nature-based art interventions.
Looking for a unique trauma-experienced therapist who likes to work and think out of the box for helping people heal. Must be comfortable in a farm-based environment—even if the applicant chooses to primarily work in a cottage office. This is not a standard clinical group organization. We work outside, with animals, and in our counseling cottages and animal enclosures.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a unique interest to develop therapeutic programs working with veterans, horticulture, outdoor education and team building, or other niches that are exciting to the applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, adults and families using evidence-based approaches.
- Utilize trauma-informed care principles to support clients experiencing a range of mental health concerns.
- Integrate Animal-Assisted Therapy into sessions (specialized training will be provided if not already certified).
- Conduct telemental health sessions as needed.
- Employ various therapeutic modalities, such as EMDR, IFS, and nature-based interventions. TF-CBT and Adolescent DBT certification and experience a plus.
- Maintain accurate documentation in an EMR system (Simple Practice or similar preferred).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Active LMHC or LICSW license in Washington State.
- Experience working with trauma, ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Depression, and suicidality in youth ages six and up.
- Specialized training in Animal-Assisted Therapy is a plus; willingness to obtain training is required if not already certified.
- Familiarity with EMDR, IFS, or other evidence-based therapeutic modalities preferred.
- Experience using Simple Practice or similar EMR systems is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits:
- Competitive compensation based on experience and licensure.
- Flexible work schedule with full-time and part-time options.
- Opportunities for training and certification in specialized therapy modalities.
- Supportive and collaborative team environment.
- Access to nature-based therapy settings and animal-assisted interventions.
- Therapists set their own schedules and have flexibility regarding hours.
- Looking for applicants who are willing to make a long-term commitment to the organization to maintain a high quality of care for our clients.
- Generous supervision support to maintain professional growth and personal care.
- PTO benefits that include personal days and floating holidays for flexibility in time off.
- At this time, temporary furnished housing (2BR/1BA) is a possibility for the right applicant.
