Overview
We are looking for a full-time Private Chef to join a family of two in our Madison Park area home. This position offers the opportunity to create delicious, healthy, and imaginative meals for a couple that values farm to table cuisine. The position requires a professional/ personal at home service individual who can keep confidentiality and privacy of the couple and their guests.
The ideal candidate brings great energy and a positive, can-do spirit to the home, contributing to a warm and vibrant household atmosphere. They should be highly creative, resourceful, and organized. Someone who takes pride in running an exceptionally clean and well maintained kitchen, keeps a close eye on stock and inventory, and always looks for ways to bring fresh ideas and inspiration to their cooking. Experience preparing a wide range of dishes to suit varied dietary preferences, with a strong emphasis on seasonal and beautifully presented meals.
Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday
Responsibilities
Plan and prepare healthy meals and snacks.
Leave extra food for days off.
Create meals that can travel well for occasional trips.
Focus on fresh, farm to table cuisine.
Prepare dishes inspired by the family’s favorite restaurants, such as Avra, Milo’s, Nobu, King.
Utilize the garden at the family’s residence.
Keep a clean and tidy kitchen.
Prepare occasional formal and informal dinner parties for up to 12, extended family gatherings and holiday events throughout the year.
Requires travel between homes in Seattle, Palm Desert and Hawaii. Sometimes going with the entire extended family.
Prepare and maintain a database of favorite foods, special food and dietary requirements of immediate family and close repeated dinner guests, friends, and business associates.
Keep pantry and refrigerator stocked with staple, fresh, and readymade foods for breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience as a Private Chef, with an emphasis on high-quality, healthy global cuisine
Experience in a high-end restaurant
Culinary degree from an accredited institution
Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, strong Mediterranean and Asian experience is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent references
Valid U.S. work authorization and clean driving record
Must live within a commutable distance from Madison Park
Familiar with a residential size gourmet pizza oven in a gourmet kitchen, and the ability to make gourmet pizza, artisanal breads, flatbreads, and poultry dishes in the pizza oven
