Role Description
We have openings for part time Bread Bakers at The Bread Peddler, with the possibility of full time as time goes on. Successful candidates will be responsible for the production of a variety sourdough breads with some prep for other departments as needed. This is an early baking shift starting around 3-4am, so you absolutely must be a morning person! Shifts are generally 7-10 hours. This work can be physically taxing, but very rewarding. Salary is $17/hr plus tips.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a bakery or other commercial kitchen is a plus, but we will train you if you are willing to put in the work. If you bake bread at home, bring us a loaf!
Ability to follow recipes accurately, produce consistent quality bakes with sufficient training, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen is a must as are excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
Must be well organized and possess attention to detail. Must be able to lift at least 50lb
Must be able to work early shifts, weekends and holidays as necessary.
