Do you enjoy working with bread, mixing and shaping dough, and checking quality on finished products?
We are looking for full time assistance on our bread station, at 40 hours per week, with a schedule of Noon to 8 pm Wednesday to Sunday.
Typical Bread team duties include:
- Weighing ingredients and mixing dough according to formulas, and in quantities determined by the production manager or lead.
- Shaping bread products to standard weights and forms.
- Checking in with the bake station to review finished products
The team is responsible for:
- Keeping the station and related dry goods area clean, stocked and organized.
- Informing the production lead or manager of any stocking needs, or any equipment issues.
- Reviewing finished products with the bake station and production manager to ensure quality and consistency.
Ideal candidates will have:
- One to two years' experience in a moderate-to-high volume dessert kitchen or recent completion of a qualified baking program.
- Ability to read and follow task lists and recipes.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physically, you can expect to be:
- Working large small and large mixers, with and near ovens and other hot surfaces, as well as working with freezers and blast chillers.
- Moving and lifting up to 15 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Using your hands constantly, including piping, cutting (slices and decorative), stirring, and holding.
