Housekeeper Extraordinaire

Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Tucked in the forest at the base of Mt. Si, Rainbow Lodge is a non-profit organization that fosters opportunities for guests to experience spiritual, personal, and professional growth in a tranquil and natural environment. We host groups ranging in size from 20 – 65 guests who come from all over the country longing for the radical hospitality and environment that Rainbow Lodge offers.
Each member of our small, close-knit team is passionate about hospitality, and seeks to serve our guests in ways that make them feel cared for, appreciated, and at home. This spirit of hospitality necessarily starts within our own staff culture – treating each other with kindness, care, and respect, and having fun together in the busy rhythms of housekeeping.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- A desire to work within a small team toward a common goal – and to have fun doing it
- Previous housekeeping experience is greatly appreciated
- Changing sheets and towels, making beds, vacuuming and dusting rooms, cleaning bathrooms, including toilets and showers, and cleaning common spaces
- Good attention to detail
- Good customer service skills, as housekeepers do at times interact with our guests
Compensation:
- The starting pay for this position is $17-$20 per hour depending on experience. Occasionally there are tips, which are split amongst staff based on number of hours worked.
- Housekeepers are welcome to eat and enjoy the meals we cook for guests, and can take unused, leftover food home for themselves and their families.
Scheduling:
- This position is part-time. We are seeking someone who has flexible availability. Due to the nature of retreat center work, an ongoing, consistent schedule is not entirely possible. Shifts are scheduled two weeks in advance.
- We ask that all candidates either live local to North Bend, or have reliable transportation and are able to make the drive.
