Description Robert Half is searching for a Workday System Administrator who will be a key player in significantly contributing the migration to a new Payroll system (UKG) for a construction company based in Seattle, WA. This position is a contract to hire opportunity that is looking for candidates in Pacific-Standard Time or Mountain-Time Zone. Work closely with the payroll project team, full-time Workday Administrator, and internal integration team to ensure seamless payroll system implementation and integration with Workday HCM.

Serve as a liaison between HR, IT, payroll, and other departments to align Workday capabilities with business needs.

Oversee the administration and maintenance of Workday HCM, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.

Configure and update Workday modules, including Talent and Performance Management, to support evolving business requirements.

Manage user roles, security groups, and permissions within Workday to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies.

Perform regular security audits and implement best practices for role-based access control.

Support and enhance integrations between Workday and other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow.

Utilize Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) to import and extract data efficiently.

Work with Workday Extend to develop custom applications that enhance system functionality.

Design, configure, and optimize Workday business processes to improve efficiency and automation.

Maintain and enhance workflows to streamline HR operations, payroll processing, and employee lifecycle events.

Provide technical support for Workday users, troubleshoot issues, and implement system enhancements.

Stay updated on Workday releases and apply necessary updates and patches to maintain system performance.

Mentor and train junior team members or less experienced Workday users to enhance their skills and understanding of the system.

Develop documentation and training materials for Workday processes and best practices.

Requirements

Required Skills:

Proven Senior level Workday HCM Administration experience with Talent and Performance Management

Experience administering, configuring, enhancing security, and developing business processes through Workday.

Knowledge in Workday EIB to extract and pull data into the system.

Experienced in Workday Extend.

Strong knowledge of integration methods within Workday.

Solid communication skills – interaction with non-technical audience will be limited, but there will be a lot of collaboration with the technical payroll project team.
