Clinical areas requesting Nurse Techs could include med-surg, oncology, neurology, cardiology, rehab, behavioral health, surgical, progressive care, ICU, emergency, transitional care, and perinatal.START DATE/ORIENTATION:October 18th (Harborview Medical Center)

October 24th (UWMC - Montlake and UWMC - Northwest)PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist in providing direct care, collect and document data gathered during the delivery of care and communicate findings and changes in patient condition to the supervising RN.

Collaborate with the other disciplines as appropriate to provide continuity of patient care from admission to discharge.

Perform a variety of tasks including transporting patients, supplies and specimens; ordering and stocking supplies; and ensuring patient safety through monitoring and assessment, safe patient mobilization and hygiene activities.ORIENTATION SCHEDULE:If you are offered a position, there is a required initial two session class orientation.Day One: New Employee Orientation - 3pm-7:30pm In-PersonDay Two: Specialized Nurse Tech EPIC training & access - 3pm-6pm VirtualREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Must be currently enrollment in a Washington State Board of Nursing approved Nursing Education Program. Must have completed at least one clinical rotation by the start of Orientation.
