The Lactation Consultant serves as a support to pregnant and lactating parents and their infants.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: but not limited to:

Manage and/or support a caseload of patients across the perinatal and breastfeeding continuum (assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation).

Provide lactation services to patients on an as-needed basis, working with other care providers to triage need. Dedicated time for hospital-wide availability is provided. Responsibilities include but are not limited toa. direct care to lactating patients as neededb. availability to provide immediate resource to patientsc. consultation to perinatal staff to assist in the lactation support oftheir patients SCHEDULE:

90% Day Shift (0900-2130)REQUIRMENT

Have/obtain a Washington State RN license to practice

Two or more years of current/recent experience in nursing care of breastfeeding families.

IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) certification.
