Description We are offering an interim Finance Manager opportunity in the heart of Seattle, Washington. This position will provide you with the opportunity to lead a finance team, maintaining the accuracy of our client's financial reporting deliverables, and serving as a subject matter expert on all financial activities. The role presents a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Leading the finance team in managing monthly financial activities to ensure the accuracy of client's GAAP financial reporting deliverables. Serving as the primary point of contact for key client relationships, including central accounting, real estate finance, and corporate FP& A teams. Providing leadership on all financial activities to the operational team outside of the finance team. Developing and maintaining documentation for team processes and procedures for all financial activities. Reviewing leases for proper lease accounting in accordance with GAAP and client policies. Overseeing the biannual client budget cycles and periodic reforecast processes. Supervising cash management procedures and reviewing funding requests prepared by the finance team for compliance with client policies. Managing team in achieving accounts receivable objectives and metrics, overseeing maintenance and research on AR over 30 days past due. Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities. Facilitating ad hoc reporting and other projects as required by manager or client. Skills: Property Accounting Budgeting - Forecasting Financial Reporting Financial Statement Preparation Monthly Financial Statements Analyze Financial Statements Cash Management Requirements Must have a strong understanding of Property Accounting Demonstrable experience in Budgeting and Forecasting Proven ability to handle Financial Reporting Expertise in Financial Statement Preparation Experience in preparing Monthly Financial Statements Proficient in Analyzing Financial Statements Must possess skills in Cash Management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams Bachelor's or higher degree in Finance, Accounting or related field detail oriented certification such as CFA or CPA would be an advantage Proficiency in the use of financial software and databases Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Ability to strategize and solve problems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced business environment Knowledge of all legal and regulatory requirements related to finance and accounting.
