Architectural Drafting Position:
Seattle based architectural fabrication shop and furniture manufacturer, Mayer Designs Inc., is looking to fill a multi-faceted architectural drafting and project management position. Applicant will work closely with owners to produce 2D CAD construction drawings, 3D renderings, order project materials and manage project schedules.
Position Description and Responsibilities:
Produce detailed construction drawings in 2D Auto CAD for client approval and fabrication.
Produce material cut sheets for ordering project material and coordination with vendors on project orders.
Produce 3D renderings for architectural projects and furniture line.
Project related communication between designers, architects, clients and fabricators.
Schedule management of furniture line and custom architectural projects.
General project development and in-house design tasks.
Use of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop for in house design.
Applicant Requirements:
2 years minimum experience in architectural drafting.
Expert, up-to-date knowledge of software programs including Auto CAD, Key Shot/Blender, Adobe Suite (InDeisgn, Illustrator, Photoshop), and Microsoft (Word, Excel) programs.
Must have excellent math skills in geometry, algebra and trigonometry.
Seeking motivated individual with the ability to stay organized and detail oriented amidst a fast-paced work environment.
Self-motivated and professional with the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
Flexible and able to shift gears between multiple projects.
Background in architecture, interior design, construction, fabrication and/or custom trades.
Position Essentials:
Full-time employment (36-40 hours per week)
Hours: 8am-6:30pm, Tuesday through Friday
Starting Pay: $25 to $35 per hour D.O.E.
Benefits Include: Annual 80 Hrs. PTO, IRA, and Health Plan.
3 Month initial trial period prior to receiving benefits/pay raise.
