Licensed child care center in Spanaway is looking for an excellent candidate to add to our outstanding team. We offer services to children ages 1 month-12 years. We are also a blended head start/ early head start, full day program.
- We are hiring for a full time, floater/school-age position. This position hours will vary weekly depending on staff vacations, trainings, ect. You will be trained in each classroom to get to know our staff, our children and how our center operates. Daily hours will vary, as we are open 6am-6pm Monday-Friday (most hours will be between 9am-6pm) We care for children between the ages of 1 month-12 years.
We are looking for someone who is energetic, nurturing and has a passion to work with young children. We have a long standing history with all of our current dedicated staff. We are looking for people who will be long term assets to our team. We have high expectations for our program to ensure the top care for children and families. We are a very full, busy center with fast paced environments. Must be able to bend, lift, crouch, kneel and stand for extended periods of time. Getting down to the children's level is a must. You must be able to lift and hold children, lift and hold educational equipment up to 50lbs. Knowledgeable about licensing and center expectations. Cleaning, diapering, meal prep, rest time, constant activities inside and out, excellent supervision of groups, keeping kids counts and assisting other staff is part of the every day routine.
We are also a blended full day Head Start and Early Head Start site!
EXPERIENCE IS DEFINITELY A MUST!
HIGHLY PREFER applicant to have at least a CDA in child development or foundations/1 year/short certificate in ECE field. We offer free schooling through Clover Park Technical College for staff to work on continuing education.

Be AT LEAST 18 years of age
CPR & 1st aid card
Blood Borne Pathogens card
HIV/AIDS training
Food Handlers card
High School Diploma or GED
Initial basic STARS training certificate
Safe Sleep training certificate
ECE classes or trainings
NEW TB test (you must get a new TB test before starting with our company)
Submit a background check on DEL MERIT SYSTEM ($12 fee required)
Proof of MMR
Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Being on time and excellent attendance is key to our success.
Earned PTO. Free continuing education.
