Hemley's Septic Service, a trusted and professional septic service company, seeks an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our growing team in Gig Harbor.

Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service that is positive, helpful, and concise. Additionally, you will work with our field technicians, proactively providing them with information and tools to help them succeed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Hemley's Septic Service, established in 1962, is a family-owned and operated business in Gig Harbor, Washington, providing professional septic and drain services to residential and commercial properties throughout Kitsap, Mason, and Pierce counties. Our dedicated team at Hemley's cares deeply about providing our customers with fast, friendly, and reliable services.

Job Responsibilities

Listen and respond to customer inquiries through various communication channels, including phone, email, chat, and in-person

Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times

Acknowledging, escalating, and resolving customer questions and complaints

Collaborate with team members to schedule service appointments and follow-ups

Work with online databases to pull historical job site information

Computer data entry and document filing, scanning, uploading

Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

3+ years of previous customer service experience required

High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent

Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)

Professional etiquette and demeanor over phones, email, and in-person

Ability to stay calm when customers are stressed or upset

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbally

Ability to prioritize and multitask in a call center environment

Ability and willingness to learn new software programs and grow with the company

Great attitude and desire to help, learn, and adapt

Nice to Haves

Extensive knowledge of the Kitsap, Mason, and Pierce County areas

Knowledge and experience in the septic industry

Knowledge and experience with Field Service Management
