JOB SUMMARY
The Audience Services Coordinator at The Theatre at Meydenbauer Center is responsible for the front of house and audience services operations for events in the Theatre, including supervision of volunteer ushers and ticket takers, oversight of ticket sellers, and theatre concessions. This person must have strong customer service skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Directs, coordinates and assists theatre clients and theatre staff in all front of house operations including ushering, ticket-taking, and concession sales.
Maintains a positive and professional image and builds an effective rapport with clients and theatre patrons.
Maintains an accurate and up-to-date knowledge of clients' event needs and expectations.
Directs volunteer ushers, ticket-takers, and ticket sellers.
Trains volunteer usher and ticket-takers on appropriate procedures.
Acts as liaison between clients and other Meydenbauer Center staff.
Has knowledge of Meydenbauer Center’s services and policies and assists clients and guests with information.
Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of company-wide and theatre-specific emergency procedures.
Performs special projects and assignments as directed by the Theatre Services Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One year of customer service experience, preferably in theatre environment and box office procedures.
Other equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to multi-task and quickly change priorities.
Working knowledge of universally accepted theatre front-of-house and box office procedures.
Working knowledge of supervising an event where large numbers of the general public are in attendance and their safety and wellbeing are of paramount importance.
Basic knowledge of personal computers and experience with Microsoft Windows.
Ability to accurately manage several details at once in a friendly, helpful manner and work within the parameters of a strict performance schedule.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works indoors in a theatre and box office setting.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
POSITION TYPE / WORK SCHEDULE
This is a part-time position. Work hours vary according to the Theatre’s event schedule and may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
