Come be part of what’s next for the future of gaming! We are seeking an experienced Hardware Program Manager to oversee the secure asset management, logistics/distribution, and tracking of consoles, sensors, controllers, and miscellaneous hardware components. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that internal, 1P, and 3P teams receive the appropriate hardware required to support various engineering programs. This role involves managing allocation needs, asset management, security processes, trade compliance requirements, and quality assurance/control. Additionally, the Hardware Program Manager will handle forward and reverse logistics processes, Microsoft distribution processes, and inventory and secure storage space organization.Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Lead program/project management efforts to ensure a good execution of hardware-related initiatives.

Manage the allocation and distribution of consoles, sensors, controllers, and miscellaneous hardware to internal, 1P, and 3P teams.

Oversee asset management and security processes to ensure the safety and integrity of hardware components.

Ensure compliance with trade compliance requirements and processes.

Develop and maintain Asset Management tools and user documentation.

Implement and monitor quality assurance/control processes to ensure hardware meets required standards.

Coordinate forward and reverse logistics processes and manage relationships with internal/external vendors.

Oversee Microsoft forward and reverse distribution processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of hardware.

Organize asset inventory and storage space to optimize security, efficiency and accessibility.

Manage logistics projects supporting internal engineering teams and beta/takehome programs.

Key Outputs:

Ensure internal, 1P, and 3P teams receive the appropriate hardware required to support programs.

Facilitate targeted validation by ensuring takehome participants worldwide receive hardware for Takehome, Beta, and Preview programs.

Provide comprehensive inventory, allocation, and distribution reporting.

Conduct failure analysis and provide data to Quality and Hardware Teams for continuous improvement.

QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications· Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technicalprogram management, data analysis, or product developmento OR equivalent experience.· 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

2+ years of experience in hardware program management or a related field.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications· Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technicalprogram management, data analysis, or product developmento OR equivalent experience.· 4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.· 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Good organizational and project management skills.

Proven experience in hardware program management or a related field.

Good understanding of asset management, security processes, and trade compliance requirements.

Proficiency in managing inventory and storage space.

Ability to participate with and contribute to cross-functional teams.

Experience in the technology or gaming industry.

Familiarity with Microsoft distribution processes.

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
