Ownership over revenue story for GitHub Security workloads: drive effective storytelling across the different components of the GitHub Security business, bringing them together in a holistic, cohesive manner that weaves through the nuances of the business health story. Ensure shared understanding of revenue stories across stakeholders. Communicate and collaborate with business partners to surface actionable insights.
Planning and forecasting: own models that consolidate revenue forecasts and plans across GitHub’s Security products. Partner closely with business and finance stakeholders to inform and influence key assumptions. Continuously look for ways to improve finance cadences to drive efficiencies and maximize impact.
Connection points across GitHub Revenue and MCAPS: partner deeply with GitHub Revenue and and collaborate closely with MCAPS business to influence strategic and tactical decisions that support GitHub’s growth ambitions around Security. Work closely with finance and business counterparts to create bridges between teams and ensure shared understanding.
Analytical/strategic frameworks : bring thought leadership to the GitHub business through establishment of financial frameworks to inform both strategy and execution.
Protect : ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring the accuracy of financial documents and business processes. Drive corrective measures. Support questions regarding documentation, policy adherence, and requirements. Recommend approved instruments and processes. Remain current on all company policies and procedures and update others.

QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field
OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field
OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field
Experience with forecasting and/or setting financial targets for revenue is a plus
Business Intuition: Understanding of key drivers of a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business
Strategic thinking: ability to see the big picture and connect the dots across multiple workstreams
Interpersonal Skills: build trust and effectively collaborate across multiple functions, teams, and personalities
Communication Skills: experienced written and verbal storyteller with the ability to distill and simplify complex financial concepts for all audiences
Detail Oriented: affinity for attention to detail and accuracy
Technical skills: experience with sophisticated financial modeling and complex data sets
Deep understanding of Microsoft (MS) Sales is a plus
Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
