We’re looking for a motivated, results-driven, experienced PR manager with a passion for storytelling and gaming to join our global PR team on several Xbox Game Studios titles.As a Communications Manager, Xbox you will partner closely with the Xbox Communications and Marketing teams to drive storytelling around our games and studios. We are looking for someone with experience successfully launching games, as part of a game development studio or as a public relations (PR) agency lead. You will have a proven track record for crafting global Communications plans that influence players through impactful storytelling across earned and owned channels. Having relationships with gaming, tech and consumer press and creators will be valuable. Similarly, experience with creating global PR plans and executing is valuable. You will work across multiple workstreams simultaneously, so the ability to support different stakeholders and drive alignment will be key. Partner with global Communications, Marketing, Studio teams, and business leads to drive strategic PR campaigns for Xbox Game Studios titles.
Drive Comms/PR approach for announcing, launching, and providing post-launch support for Xbox Game Studios products and updates.
Act as a trusted advisor to executives and studio heads, providing strategic counsel and guidance.
Help drive key PR events & activations, both virtual and physical, around the world.
Collaborate with broader Communications team at Microsoft to support cross-company events and news beats.
Manage PR agency as integral members of our extended team
Partner with Social and Community teams to create major amplification and engagement opportunities for our biggest moments.
Help protect the Microsoft, Xbox, and Xbox Game Studios brand by identifying and mitigating reputation risk.

QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 2+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
OR equivalent experience.
1+ years experience within the gaming industry in some capacity.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
OR equivalent experience.
2+ years specialized functional (e.g., retail, technology) experience.
2+ years experience supporting executives in an executive communications role.

Communications IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 - $167,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $108,900 - $183,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
